Manchester United is battling to keep Spaniard De Gea for the long-term.
De Gea has remained stubborn in ongoing talks to pin him down at the club, and is adamant about seeking pastures elsewhere.
This doesn’t come as a shocker to many fans out there, given how much he’s dedicated his life to the club, and has nothing to show for it.
De Gea’s degrading situation at the club has attracted plenty of interested suitors.
Though, United have a power in his clause to extend his stay by another 12 months, there are fears that could soften his price tag.
It is believed United would rather put him up for sale at the turn of the year and cash in on him now that they have a cluster of big suitors in the running for the 28-year-old’s services.
According to the Sun, United are willing to offer De Gea up for 75 million pounds, which will topple over the price paid for Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga.
In Italy Juventus have been credited with a link for the star, but will face a tough challenge from French champions Paris Saint-Germain who have just entered the fray.
PSG are keen on offering De Gea 300,000-per-week, to lure him away from Manchester United and ward off outsiders.
