Injuries have been the bane of Arsenal’s title quest over the years but it appears to be relatively better this term as the Gunners have most of their players fit.
According to London Evening Standard, Arsenal will be without Shkodran Mustafi when they travel to the Manchester to face the Citizens this weekend.
Mustafi picked up a groin injury while starring for the German national team last month and it was thought that he’ll be fit for the big one. However, is unlikely to feature for the game as he is still on the recovery pane.
Arsenal have played with his compatriot Per Mertesacker since he picked up the injury and the lanky centre-back has exceeded expectation with his impressive and stellar show-offs. The pace of Mertesacker is a concern for the Gunners as they prepare to play against the very potent Man City attack.
Wenger has played Koscielny at the right side of a back three, with Mertesacker as the last man at the heart of defence. We think, Wenger should swap the positions of the aforementioned players since the French bloke is faster and then Bellerin must be turned on always to support Mertesacker.
Since last term, Arsene Wenger has resorted to playing with a back three but the presence of Nacho Monreal gives his centre-back a breather. For the Europa Champions league game, Rob Holding or Mohamed Elneny are the most likely players to be called up for the game.
Manchester City are yet to lose a game in the Premier league this term and it will take not just a potent attack but a solid defensive unit to stop them.
