Chelsea versatile defender Ceaser Azpilicueta has informed Manchester United that the Blues will not let their guard down on Sunday, this is according to reports.
The Premier League holders Chelsea will be hosted by Manchester United this Sunday and the Blues will be looking to maintain their new found form after shocking back to back defeats to Bournemouth and Watford in the League.
Chelsea have since bounced back from the back to back defeat to beat West Brom and Hull in the Premier League and FA Cup respectively, while coming-off the Champions League game against Barcelona with a draw after an impressive show-off.
Speaking ahead of the Manchester United crunch tie, Azpilicueta who was apparently exuding so much confidence reveals that they have the chance to get the better of Man United following their high-flying performance against Barcelona.
“After two tough defeats a few weeks ago the team responded with two wins,” Azpilicueta said.
”Against Barcelona it was also a great performance from the team, nearly perfect.
“Now we have a tough game on Sunday [Man Utd] and we have to turn our heads to the next target, the Premier League, and try to get as high as possible.
“The next game is always the most important because it’s where you can get the three points.
“At the moment, we are getting closer and closer to the end of the season, so we have to get the points.”
Chelsea are three points adrift Man United on the Premier League table in fourth position. Any result other than a win for the Blues will further put their quest to end in top four places on log is huge doubt.
