Arsene Wenger is having one of his toughest times as Arsenal manager, and the club’s hierarchy and fans are losing patience with the Frenchman.
His men haven’t only failed to get the results they wanted, but their performances have also been awful despite possessing one of the deadliest attacking threat in the league.
The Gunners are in the sixth position, 33 points behind runaway leaders Manchester City while they are 13 points behind Tottenham who currently occupy the fourth position in the Premier League standings.
Despite his current struggles, Wenger’s quality and experience is never in doubt as he had proven in the past. He remains the only Premier League manager who completed a season without tasting any league defeat in the 2004-5 season.
With his qualities, the Frenchman won’t lack suitors should he decide to resign from being Arsenal manager by the end of the season.
Everton are reportedly showing interest in his service as the Merseyside club hope to replace Sam Allardyce in the summer. The Big Sam seems to have lost his perfect tactics which took the team out of relegation zone when he replaced Ronald Koeman in the first half of the season.
The Toffees now occupy the 11th position in the League after recording two consecutive defeats against Watford and Burnley respectively. They hope to start next season in a better form as they look at the prospect of convincing Wenger to switch to the Goodison Park in the summer.
Wenger still has a year left in his Arsenal contract, but it is uncertain if the club’s hierarchy would continue working with the Frenchman beyond this season.
