Arsenal’s terrible form and woes continued over the weekend as the Gunners lost a fourth game in their last five Premier League games. Champions League qualification now looks bleak because they plummeted to sixth spot on the table and are six points adrift Liverpool who occupy the fourth position, having played two more games than Arsenal.
A lot of fans have questioned the tactical prowess and awareness of Arsene Wenger, who despite his experience has failed to win the League for over a decade, and the call for his resignation grew with Arsenal fans hoisting banners of Wengerout. However, if the reports according to the Sun is anything go by, the Power drunk Wenger will be staying put at the Emirates for another season.
The French tactician is currently in the last year of his contract but he has remained taciturn about signing another deal with the London giants. But he was quizzed about his future after they were thumped by the Baggies and he said:
“I know what I will do in the future.
“You will know soon. Very soon. You will see. But today I’m not necessarily worrying about that.”
The biggest players at Arsenal Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez have also refused to put pen to paper on a new deal and this may be attributed to the inability of the club to win trophies. The aforementioned players are getting to the twilight of their career and they sure want more laurels – with several top European clubs on their chase, Arsenal fans must brace themselves for shockers in the summer.
Methinks he is high time the French tactician leaves the centre stage for another manager to takeover the helms of Arsenal affairs.
