Arsenal vs Leicester City match preview: Latest team news and probable line-up

Arsenal will begin their 2017/18 Premier League campaign on Friday with a game against Leicester City. Having come off the pre-season with the Emirates Cup title and the win over Chelsea in the Community Shield, the Gunners will be brewing with much confidence as they look to push for the elusive Premier League trophy.

Arsene Wenger has a point to prove  after failing to qualify his team for the Champions League. Despite his failings, the French tactician was handed a contract extension by the top brass of the club but he has to show the fans and his critiques that he deserves it and equally redeem his image.

Alexis Sanchez seem to have accepted his fate over his future with the Gunners. The Speculation over his future seem to have cool off but the attacker has been ruled out of action for the rest of this month due to an abdominal strain he sustained while training.

Arsenal Captain Per Mertesacker sustained a facial injury while starring against Chelsea, he is a major doubt. The duo of Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil also missed the Chelsea game but their concern now is of fitness but they could play a part.

Arsenal will be without Laurent Koscielny due to suspension while Shkodran Mustafi returned late to training due to his commitment for their German national team but Wenger may consider him for a start.
