Arsenal transfer update: Lacazette’s £52m done deal, Mahrez and Mbappe latest

This is the first week after the official opening of the summer transfer window, this week promises to be exciting as we expect quite a number of deals to be sealed by Arsenal.

Arsenal have confirmed just one summer signing in Sead Kolasinac but Wenger has not hidden his desire to bolster the team of the Gunners.

There quite a number of deals excepted to be sealed this week which includes the contract extension of some of the players in the Club.

We take a look at the talking points in the transfer window as it concerns Arsenal.

Alexandre Lacazette

Alexandre Lacazette headlined Arsenal transfer news over the weekend. There were twists and turns in the reporting but the Gunners are truely interested in signing the prolific goal scorer.

Skysports reports that the deal for Lacazette will be completed within a day or two as confirmed by the President of Les Gones. Arsenal had seen an initial bid of £39m turned down last month but Arsenal have increased their offer for the talisman. He is expected to seal a £52m deal this week.

Riyad Mahrez

The Algerian forward has informed Leicester City of his desire to move way from the Club and Arsenal are considering a £35m move for the attacker as Wenger looks to revamp his frontline.

Mahrez has been on the transfer radar of Arsenal since last term and Calciomercato are in the claim that the deal could be done within this week. Leicester City are willing to listen to offers for the player.

Kylian Mbappe

The wonder kid fueled speculation over a possible transfer away from Monaco when he modified his twitter handle by removing Monaco from his bio. He has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal but his price tag has been the major stumbling block to the deal.
