The Gunners are still hungover following their conquest of the English FA Cup and they are now the record holders for that trophy.
Albeit Arsenal had a bad season in the Premier League because they ended outside the top four for the first time since 96/97 season, much attention is now shifted to the transfer market and the football odd for the Gunners heavy involvement is high.
We do not only expect to see players come to the Emirates, there one or two under-performers that are expected to leave. Reports according to the Express reveals that Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has agreed a deal to join Seria A giants Napoli this summer.
Szczesny saw his place in the first team of Arsenal taken away by David Ospina and the signing of Petr Cech in the penultimate summer meant his chances to keep for Arsenal was bleak. He was sent on loan to Roma where he’s commanded a regular shirt.
His acrobatics and heroics in between the sticks have not gone unnoticed in the Seria, Roma have been on his chase and the report claims a three-year deal is on card for the Polish shot-stopper after a successful meeting with the representative of the goalie.
David Ospina was handed a start ahead of first choice Petr Cech last weekend in the FA Cup final and it is believed that Ospina had made his final appearance in the colours Arsenal. Ospina has been strongly linked with a move away from Arsenal after he made bare his desire to play regularly.
If Ospina leaves, Szczesny will be the natural replacement for the Colombian but he may also fancy playing regularly.
