Arsenal are hopeful of beating local rivals Tottenham in signing Hoffeinheim ace Nadem Adiri in January.
Both London outfits are in a two-horse race for the injured star, who has been doing the rounds lately.
The German youth international has yet to rack up any game under his belt this season at the top-tier club, but that has not stopped the hustling over his services.
According to the Sun, Arsenal and Tottenham are in the running for his signature and the Gunners are keen on pipping Spurs to the finish line.
German outlet Bild is revealing that both outfits are keen on adding the 22-year-old in their ranks.
Moots bandying about have also claimed there is an interest from another Bundesliga topside– Schalke.
But it appears Arsenal may leapfrog their rivals in whisking Adiri off the German outfit.
Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson is on loan at the German club, and there are suggestions floating around that Arsenal could offer Hoffeinheim the chance to extend Nelson’s loan, in a bid to land Adiri in January.
Nelson has under his belt, six goals in eight appearances for Hoffeinheim.
