Nuno Espirito Santo is plotting a move to land more names in his Wolverhampton side who have been exceptional this campaign since getting a promotion to England top-tier league.
Wolves are considering a move to sign Juventus defender Rogerio this January, however, they are bound to face stiff competition for his services.
Arsenal is reportedly waiting in the wings for the 20-year-old. Magpies Newcastle have also been credited with an interest in the defender, with makes it a three-horse race.
Rogerio is a left-back and this is the news doing the rounds in outlets about Arsenal’s ambitions. But, if it is anything to go by, the Gunners might be looking to hit the pedal down harder to snatch him before the competition.
Magpies already have Javier Manquillo, but the left-back cannot cover enough grounds, meaning a move for Rogerio could solve the problem for Rafael Benítez.
Rogerio is currently on loan at Italian side Sassuolo, and it is unlikely they will let him leave this January. A move in the summer seems more likely to happen.
Rogerio has made 17 starts so far this season for Sassuolo and he is valued at £20m, with Jorge Mendes said to be involved in the deal.
