Arsenal will not table any bid to keep midfielder Aaron Ramsey at the club next summer. Ramsey has been hugely touted to leave in January.
Talks between the Welshman’s reps and Arsenal broke down after the club failed to fork out a good deal to Ramsey.
Though his presence in Arsenal’s midfield has been mildly felt following the arrival of Matteo Guendouzi and attacking sensation Lucas Torreira, the Gunners have reportedly been linked with bringing in another bright star.
Miguel Almiron is expected to join the Gunners in the second half of the 2018-19 Premier League season.
Miguel plays for MLS outfit Atlanta United. And his record for the MLS outfit has been quite exceptional this season.
The 24-year-old already has notched up 12 goals and 13 assists in 32 League appearances for Atalanta United.
And news floating in the US media say Arsenal want to sign the budding star for a reported fee of 11 million pounds in January.
News outlet Fox Delores USA, revealed that the north London outfit had shown strong interest in the MLS star before.
Atlanta United president Darren Eales confirmed the player’s exit in January. He said: “Almirón’s future is already decided and will go to England in the European winter market.”
Ramsey’s exit looms, and when Almiron arrives at the Emirates in January, the Welshman could slip further down the pecking order, if he insists on running down his contract till the summer of 2019.
