Arsenal shelved plans to bring in permanent reinforcements in January due to their thin finances. However, they are still keen on panning out those plans and one of them is clinching the deal for sidelined Roma star Cengiz Ünder.
Unai Emery is looking to salvage his side ahead of the new Premier League season with just fewer games remaining to close this current campaign.
Welshman Aaron Ramsey will dump the side and join Serie A giants Juventus this summer, piling up intense pressure on the north Londoners to find a suitable replacement.
Ünder fits the bill, and though he has remained sidelined for Roma due to injuries, his goal and assist tallies have turned him into one of the cream of crop of players in Roma at the moment.
One underlying problem however still persists, and that’s paying his wage bill. Roma may demand a chunk as selling fee for the midfielder, and Arsenal may not be able to step up to the plate. Their thin resources still lingers. But the fourth-place English side are already eyeing a replacement in AC Milan star Suso.
Should the deal for Ünder fall through, Suso has reportedly been lined up as his replacement even though it is not what the north London outfit wants.
Reports peddling in the media say Arsenal have already begun keeping tabs on the 25-year-old–the latest in his side’s clash last weekend against Chievo.
