Arsenal to agree deal for £31m-rated winger
Arsenal are weighing in on a deal for Ivorian and Lille winger Nicolas Pepe and they have been in contact with the representative of the player over a potential move for the star, this is according to report.
Pepe moved to Lille from Angers in 2017, where he is gradually proving his mettle – so far this term, he has scored one goal and provided three assists in four league games.
Pepe can operate from any of the flanks, where he has used his skills, pace and power to cause problems for opposing defenders.
The Gunners bolstered their squad in the January transfer window but they attempted to prise Ousmane Dembele out of Camp Nou on transfer deadline day, a move that fell through.
Unai Emery is still in the wants of a winger to complement his attack and they London club have been lurking around Lille for Pepe.
According to Le10 Sport, Arsenal have already contacted the agent of the player over a possible move and they are considering making an offer for him in the January transfer window or the summer.
The 23-year-old star has been valued at £31million by Lille, a price tag that is always within the budget of Arsenal.
