Arsenal could finally get rid of Aaron Ramsey in what could be a lucrative swap deal for the London giants.
Danny Welbeck has been dealt a heavy blow after being stretchered out of the field of play in the Gunners Europa League clash against Sporting Lisbon. Welbeck suffered a terrible knock to his ankle and has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
Ramsey will not be offered any contract to extend his stay at the Emirates. The Welshman has accepted his fate and will pack his bags at the turn of the year.
But with Welbeck out, Emery is left with no striking options apart from duo Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
A move for Roma’s striker Patrik Schick in January is on the Gunners cards and Aaron Ramsey could be used as a leverage to bring him to London.
Schick has yet to hit the ground running at his new club due to his poor form and lack of fitness, causing a big worry for the Italian outfit.
The 22-year-old has yet to find the back of the net this season, and a season-long loan move is just around the corner, an option Roma is keen on.
The Gunners could strike lucky when they offer Ramsey as part of the deal to bring in Schick. It is understood Roma admires the Welshman and that could add more firepower to their centre.
Chelsea, Liverpool have been linked with Ramsey, including Italian outfit Juventus this term.
