Arsenal team news: Massive Mesut Ozil update ahead of Man City clash, but Winger doubtful

Arsenal play Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday and Arsene Wenger has provided the Gunners latest team and injury news ahead of the Wembley show down, according to reports.’

The Gunners were without some notable players as they were left stunned by Swedish side Ostersunds in the Europa Cup game on Thursday night. While they are still in the competition, the Carabao Cup has never been won by Wenger and so, he is expected to field his best team as there is more to play for here.

Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey were left out of the action of last night but Wenger revealed that the German star who was ill, has a massive chance to play on Sunday. Meanwhile, Alex Iwobi sustained a knock and may not be available while Aaron Ramsey will be tested for fitness before the game.

“We don’t know what kind of state Alex Iwobi is in for example, we’ll know that today and tomorrow.

“Overall we have no injuries from last night. A few players were rested, they are all all right.

“I have to make a decision on Aaron Ramsey, he looks to be available but he has another test today, so we’ll know more about it tomorrow.

“Ozil had a good session yesterday, he absorbed it well, we have to see how he responds to it but I think he will be available for Sunday.”

Arsenal new boy Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has not been in action since Arsenal’s defeat to Tottenham but he should be fresh for Sunday and we hope to see him in action.
