Arsenal withdrew their offer for Aaron Ramsey’s contract extension because his style no longer fits in the vision of the club, reports have claimed.
Ramsey, who is currently the longest serving Arsenal player had stall over signing a new deal with the club. He had an offer on the table but the Gunners withdrew the same even though the Welsh star was ready to sign the deal.
Under Unai Emery, the hardworking midfielder has become a bit-part player, but he is running down his contract and will be a free agent at the end of the season.
Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea have all been heavily linked with a move for the player but the fans of the club are outraged at the decision of the club.
Meanwhile, he has not given up on the hope of signing a new deal with Arsenal but the club has informed him they would not need his services after this season.
According to the Mirror via the Metro, Arsenal have told Ramsey that they are going in different direction in terms of vision.
There are so many questions begging for answers all of these. It seem as though Arsenal are trying to trim their wage bill but again, they should have retained Ramsey.
