Arsenal receive huge setback in third bid to sign Petr Cech replacement

Arsenal manager Arsene has encountered another setback in his move to bring a new goalkeeper to the Emirates stadium before the 2018-19 season after his prime target Kaylor Navas admits he wants to remain at Santiago Bernabeu beyond this season.

The Costa Rican international still has two years left in his contract with the Spanish giants and he has revealed his desire to see out the period left his contract before thinking of moving out of Santiago Bernabeu.

While speaking to newsmen after the team’s 1-1 draw against Atletico at Santiago Bernabeu yesterday, the 32-year-old netminder said he is ready to keep his place as Zidane’s first-choice goalie next season whether David De Gea joins the team or not.

Madrid are reportedly going to reignite their longtime interest in the Manchester United goalie when the summer transfer window begins but Navas admits he won’t end his Madrid career due to the Spaniard’s proposed switch to Santiago Bernabeu.

Liverpool are also in the race to sign the goalkeeper who is regarded as world-class by the Reds manager Jurgen Klopp. With Karius inexperience, the German tactician hopes to lure the Costa Rica international to the Anfield stadium ahead of Arsene Wenger.
