Arsenal are keen on snatching up Roma’s Patrick Schick at the turn of the year and Welshman Aaron Ramsey has been caught in the middle of it all.
Ramsey, who has been one of the fabric of the Gunners centre in Wenger’s era, has reportedly seen a decline in his appearance for the north London outfit since Unai Emery grabbed the reins of the former FA Cup holders.
The club is keen on letting the Welshman go, after talks over extending his stay broke down bitterly, and a replacement has been mooted for few days now, with the club looking at raiding Italian outfit for striker Patrick Schick.
It is understood that Arsenal had offered Ramsey a lucrative deal to extend his future at the club, but the Welshman turned his back on the deal and reportedly demanded that the club to topple over their previous offer.
Arsenal pulled the plug on the ongoing plans to keep him and instead are prepared to use him as a wager to get Roma’s Patrick Schick.
Schick has yet to pin down a berth in the Italian outfit, despite boasting of untapped potentials and depths within. And Arsenal are angling to stow him away from the Italian Serie A into the Premier League where he can blossom into a star, a fan’s favourite.
Welbeck has been cropped out of the Emery’s squad for now after suffering a horrible blow to his ankle. And a replacement in Schick is definitely worth considering in the second half of the League season.
