At just 19, Hertha native Arne Maier has got clubs flocking to watch him play at the German top-tier club Hertha Berlin.
The Germany international have turned attentions towards himself this season, after a spectacular last season showoff in the Bundesliga.
Maier won more appearances last season than when he broke into Hertha Berlin’s starting XI, a year before that, enjoying 17 starts.
The German U21 start has so far, notched up 3 appearances for Hertha and his fine run of form so far, certainly swelled deep interests from wealthy clubs in the Premier League.
German outlet Sport Bild says Manchester United, currently at seventh place in the Premier League and Arsenal who are one position ahead, have their eyes on the 19-year-old.
United’s interests could vanish, but Arsenal’s preference for young talents like Maier makes them true contenders for his services.
But the Gunners have London rivals Tottenham reportedly watching from afar.
Mauricio Pochettino has a knack for trimming young lads like Maier, and he has turned to become a massive success. Spurs pose as Arsenal real threat in the race for Maier services.
However, the club that wants to snatch him first must prepare to have sanctioned a deal with Hertha before the 19-year-old stock rises by January.
According to Transfermarkt, the central midfielder is priced around 8 million euros.
