Arsenal may have been dealt a huge blow in their quest to bolster their midfielder after emerging report indicated the Gunners transfer prime target Aleksandr Golovin has agreed a deal to join Juventus.
Golovin has been on the transfer radar of Arsenal but as typical with the Gunners, they have failed to match their interest for the player with an offer.
Golovin is currently the mainstay of the midfield of CSKA Moscow and he is about the main player to watch as Russia play host to the world for the biggest football competition. However, it is almost certain that he will be plying his trade in the Seria A with Juventus next term.
According to Italian media outlet Calciomercato, while the player has agreed personal terms to switch for Turin, Juventus and CSKA Moscow are yet to agree on his transfer fee. The Russian outfit are holding out for a €25 million move but Juventus are only offering less. Nonetheless, it is claimed in the report that the deal is likely to go through for € 20 million.
Arsenal are still in the market to sign midfield reinforcements and they have been heavily linked with a move for Napoli’s Torreira.
Juventus are also linked with the signing of our own Jack Wilshere – the signing of Golovin may just see them end their interest in the aforementioned English midfielder.
