Talks to get Boca Juniors star Cristian Pavón is steaming already and the man to get the Argentine ink his name under an Arsenal deal sheet is the Gunners head of recruitment Raul Sanllehi.
According to reports milling out of the Trinity Mirror site, Raul Sanllehi holds to key to Pavón successful transfer to the Emirates.
The Argentine was heavily linked to Arsenal in July during the summer transfer business.
Pavón is an attack-minded player and fitting into Emery’s style of play will not cause him tired legs.
The Argentina international has already won 11 caps for the Argentina national team. He showed some interesting display in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia which gathered plenty of attention.
His tally of 25 goals and 29 assists in 88 appearances for Boca Juniors is worthy of a mention.
And while his speed leaves defender panting for lack of breath, his slaloming runs and snaking his way through defences cripples the opposition’s backline.
Pavón is a very important player and losing him in January will definitely handicap Boca Juniors centre. Previously, it was rumoured they were willing to hold on to the Argentine, but reports have confirmed he could be bought out of the club.
Emery’s plan for Arsenal is slowly taking shape, however adding Pavón to the Gunners ranks in July will definitely add more sticks to the Gunners flame in the attack.
