Arsenal agree £20m transfer fee for creative midfielder, Club confirm talks

While Arsenal fans are going nuts over the inability of the Club to make another marquee signing, Arsene Wenger is increasingly finding it difficult to retain some of his key players.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is attracting heavy interest from various Club but Turkish side Antalyaspor have made inquiry over the player’s availability, according to reports.

Wilshere has endured a torrid time at Arsenal, failing to fulling his potential due to constant injuries. The highly rated midfielder fell down the selection pecking order of Arsenal last term when Xhaka was signed so much so that he was sent on a loan move to Bourmouth.

He shone for half of the season with the Cherries last term but his impressive season became scuppered by a knee injury he sustained. Although, Arsene Wenger had ruled out the possibility of the player’s move away from Arsenal but the Gooners are now likely to offload the English star.

Like Alexis Sanchez, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Mesut Ozil, Wilshere is in the final year of his Arsenal contract and West Ham, Sampdoria and Swansea have all be credited with a move for the 24-year-old.

Confirming  Antalyaspor interest,  president Ali Safak Ozturk said:

“We made an enquiry and are in talks but Arsenal want a lot for Wilshere.

“It will be a difficult move to pull off.”

Arsenal have tagged Wilshere with £20million, which is why Sampdoria’s £7.5m bid was thrown out. While the Turkish Club may be unable to meet the valuation of Wilshere, reports have indicated that he would fancy a move to London side West Ham United.

Arsenal are a tad short of options in midfield as it is given that Wilshere is Santi Cazorla’s probable replacement but the injury record of the aforementioned players leave so much to be desired.
