Antonio Conte set for Chelsea exit as Real Madrid call

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte could be out of Stamford Bridge by the end of the season after crashing out of Champions League. The Blues were bundled out of the competition after losing 3-0 (4-1 on aggregate) to Barcelona at the Camp Nou last night.

Despite leading Chelsea to Premier League glory in his first season at Stamford Bridge, Conte has failed to impress the Blues hierarchy this term and the boards are reportedly set to show him the exit door in the summer.

Chelsea are equally on the verge of missing next season’s Champions League competition as they currently occupy the 5th position behind Tottenham Hotspur in the league table.

The former Juventus manager might be heading to Real Madrid should he resign from being Chelsea boss in the summer, according to reports via Spanish media outlet Don Balon. The report also suggests that Real Madrid officials who were among spectators during yesterday’s Champions League match were impressed with Conte’s style of play and they hope to snap him up in the summer.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has endured a disappointing term throughout this season and Florentino Perez is ready to part way with the Frenchman. Despite a great run of results in European competition, Los Blancos are struggling in their bid to defend their La Liga title as they currently occupy the third position, 15 points behind Barcelona who are at the top of the League’s standings.

Real Madrid are also linked with summer move for Chelsea stars including longtime target Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois and Ngolo Kante.fd
