Another massive injury blow for Arsenal ahead of Southampton clash, attacker ruled out

Arsenal will be without rising star Emile Smith Rowe when they take on Qarabag in the final group stage of their Europa League game tonight.

The Gunners have had a nearly impeccable record in the Europa Cup this season with four wins and a draw out of five games. A win today, will see us qualify as the best in the group.

Ahead of the game tonight, Emery has revealed that he would tweak his team following their qualification already. 3-0 win against FC Vorskla the last time out already guaranteed our qualification.

“Our first aim in this competition, we have done, which was to be first in the group,” said Arsenal’s head coach.

“But we respect this competition and we respect Qarabag and so our objective is to win and we are going to give players chances to take responsibility, take rhythm and take confidence.

“Because we are going to play a lot of matches, in the next 10 days we play four matches – each of them very important – so we are going to use some different players with players coming from the under-23 team.”

However Smith-Rowe has been ruled out of the game after picking up an injury. The youngster has been one of the star players of the competition for Arsenal and he already has two goals to his name.

According to a report by Football.London, the player picked up a knock while in training. Although, it is said to be a major injury, he will not be called into action today.

He was not in training with the rest of the Gunners squad on Wednesday but Emery has included up to seven of the U-23 squad members for the game.
