Announcement imminent: Man United on the brink of sealing £45m five-year deal for star

Manchester United player of the moment Anthony Martial has decided to stay put at the club and sign a new and improved contract, this is according to reports.

Martial has been key to Man United recent resurgence that has seen them win their latest games in the League. He has scored five goals in six appearances and Jose Mourinho is pleased with the French star.

At the start of the season, the French attacker was reported unhappy with life at United and he was linked with a move away. Following the signing of Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window, he was subjected to playing a bit-part role for the most part of last season and this situation made him unhappy.

His current contract with Man United will expire at the end of next season, with the Red Devils having the right to trigger a one year extension.

The French winger had stalled over signing a new deal with United but now, the Sun has reported that he has made a U-turn in decision and he’s willing to put pen to paper on a new deal.

United are willing to pay Martial £190,000-a-week according to the report and this is coming after Luke Shaw was handed a bumper pay rise.
