Announcement imminent: Liverpool to agree £120m deal for Philippe Coutinho transfer

The reports linking Barcelona with a move to the La Liga have refused to go away, and with the transfer window still wide open, the Reds could lose their most prized asset before the close of the window.

There are quite conflicting reports on Philippe Coutinho’s proposed move but the Express in their report claims Philippe Coutinho could be unveiled as a Barcelona player on Friday.

Coutinho was the subject of a £72million bid by Barcelona but the offer was thrown out by the Reds. However, the Blaugrana side are resting on their onus to sign a replacement for Neymar and they are keen to shatter their own transfer record to sign Coutinho.

Barcelona reportedly sent delegation to hold talks with the hierarchy of Liverpool for the midfielders transfer and it now appears that talks have been fruitful. Barcelona are understood to be willing to pay  £120 million to sign Coutinho as they believe it will be enough to convince to the Anfield giants.

According to BT Sport journalist Andy May, he received a mail from Barcelona informing him to prepare for the unveiling of the Brazilian star.

“Already getting emails from Barcelona offering television coverage of @Phil_Coutinho Barca presentation this Friday #keen.” He tweeted according to the Express.

Liverpool do not want to sell they key player but would they be able to resist £120million? it would be a difficult one for Klopp.
