Chelsea are not yet done in the transfer market and are reportedly edging closer to completely a deal for their fourth signing of the summer.
According to reports, Valencia right-back Joao Cancelo could join the Premier League champions in a matter of time.
Antonio Conte is keen to add more depth to his squad. He has already brought in four players this summer but the Italian manager still wants more additions as he aims to defend the Premier League title.
And with Antonio Rudiger his only acquisitions in the defence this summer, Conte is interested in adding Cancelo to his back-line.
The Blues boss has also been linked with Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk and Juventus Alex Sandro, and while Italian club are not interested in letting go of their man, van Dijk seems to prefer moving to Liverpool instead of Chelsea.
And according to Spanish media outlet, Don Balon talks have reached advanced stage and the 23-year-old could join the London club in no time.
Chelsea are also said to have scouted the full-back which playing for Portugal at the European Champions this summer and are ready to part with £25 million for the player, this is according to Sky Sport journalist Kaveh Solhekol.
“Conte wants to sign at least one wing-back this summer,” Solhekol said.
“And one of the players he is interested in is Joao Cancelo, he’s a Valencia right-back who was scouted playing for Portugal at the European Under-21 Championships.
“And he’s been watched again during pre-season. Juventus and Spurs are also said to be interested. He’s valued at about £25m.”
Cancelo made 38 appearances for Valencia last season and is contracted to them till 2021.
