Announcement imminent, Chelsea on the verge of signing World Cup winner to new deal

Chelsea is keen on rewarding N’golo Kante this season amid disturbing and unwavering interests from Ligue One football powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain.

The French outfit made a move to sign the 27-year-old this summer, an attempt to lure him away from England after a captivating spell in the World Cup for France in Russia this year.

Paris Saint-Germain, it was understood, stepped up their bid to rouse the World Cup winner’s interest, hoping he would take the bait.

But Kante remained at Chelsea and is very likely to swat off interests from the Qatar-owned club should they come raiding Stamford Bridge for his services at the turn of the year.

Chelsea want to make Kante one of the highest earners in the Premier League. This will of course stop Paris Saint-Germain from tailing his progress at the club and force the French club to turn their heads around and search elsewhere for a new midfielder.

Kante’s wage has been tipped to leapfrog Hazard’s current  paycheck and make him the club’s highest earner. The 27-year-old Belgian is still on the fence about his future at Chelsea, and until the end of the season, it’s hard to conclude where his heart will eventually be.

Meanwhile, Kante admits he loves his new role at the club since Sarri took the club’s rudder. The midfielder believes Chelsea can have an amazing season altogether, fessing that they have been doing well since the season went underway.
