Chelsea thumped Tottenham right in their new home and they will be looking to replicate same form when they take on Everton on Sunday.
Away from the on-pitch matters, Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement with Chelsea for the transfer of controversial striker Diego Costa, per reports in Spain.
Costa, despite being a key player for the squad of the Blues last term was expelled by Antonio Conte from his squad over his temperamental issues. The player had being training on his own before he went AWOL in his native country Brazil.
The Spain international was linked with a move to AC Milan but he favoured a loan move so that he’ll eventually fulfill his dream of playing for Atletico Madrid in January. The Roji Blancos are unable to sign a player in this transfer window following a transfer ban.
Chelsea asked Costa to return to train with the B team of Chelsea but he refused and granted an explosive interview last week, claiming that he has been treated unfairly by Chelsea because he’s not a criminal.
According to IBTimes, they cited a report by AS which claimed that Atletico Madrid will pay €45m (£41.1m, $52.9m) to land the star. The report further claim, the figure they believe, will be enough to see Costa sign for them.
Even if the deal is completed, Costa will be merely training until January before he’ll be eligible to lace his boots for A.Madrid.
