Announcement imminent: Arsenal make offer to complete first January signing

Arsenal have hinted they will continue to support the growth and development of young talents and Unai Emery is keen on continuing that legacy.

23-year-old Ivorian Nicolas Pepe is on the Gunners cards. Reports are claiming that Arsenal have revved up interests in the star and want to stump up a 40 million euros bid for the star.

Pepe is enjoying plenty of attention at the moment. The Lille star has been hugely phenomenal for the Ligue One outfit, netting 12 goals and picking up seven assists this term for the French heavyweight.

Lille have play down talks suggesting he would leave for Arsenal in January, but French publication L’Equipe has hinted they could budge, after initially balking at any deal for the Ivory Coast international.

Pepe’s stunning run of form has Emery totally pleased and the Spaniard wants him at Arsenal when the transfer window is opened in January.

In addition, Arsenal is looking to not just stoop the 23-year-old up, but are willing to loan him back to Lille for the rest of the season after completing the deal.

It is unlikely the Gunners will try to pull a stunt like this, however they have a couple of times with Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. This, however, couldn’t be any different. Certainly not.
