More than ever, the Gunners fans have been on the edge of their seat waiting for either good or bad news on the contracts deal of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil. While they have an eye on the aforementioned duo, they hope that Arsene Wenger fortifies his defence before the close of the season.
According to latest report, PAS Giannina defender Konstantinos Mavropanos has arrived London in a bid to complete a stunning move to Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger is somewhat short of options in the defence and he is equally preparing for life after Per Mertesacker. 20-year-old Mavropanos is currently in London and he will complete a 2.5 million pounds deal before joining Werder Bremen on a loan deal, claims Gazzetta.gr.
Wenger has a knack for signing players who are relatively unknown by the fans of Arsenal. should this deal go through, it is going to stir a bit of criticism for Wenger whose frugal nature is blamed for the predicament of the club at the moment.
Hector Bellerin and Sead Kolasinac are currently the only right and left wing backs at the club respectively and Wenger has to start looking for options for them.
Even though we cannot ascertain the veracity of this report, we wait to see how it pans out.
