Spain international and Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is currently the most talked about Man United transfer target but the agent has now confirmed the Red Devils interest in the player, according to Calciomercato.
Jose Mourinho and some of the players of Manchester United are said to have convinced to goal poacher to jump the ship and join them at Old Trafford with an announcement for the deal scheduled for next week.
Manchester United are currently without an established centre-forward after the release of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Morata is expected to not only wear the no.9 Jersey, but he will lead the attack of United.
The Champions League winners are holding out for £70m for the star but there is not telling of Man United are going to meet his valuation.,
However, the agent of the striker Juanma Lopez has acknowledged an offer for the player but claims it is up to Los Blancos to decide is he’ll complete a deal.
‘They are a club of great charm, a very interesting option.’ He said of United’s interest.
Asked if he Morata had already agreed a deal, he continued: ‘I can say there’s a very important proposal and the decision rests with Real. I cannot tell [if it will be done quickly], we’ll see.’
United are not the only Club in the chase of the player, AC Milan are also interested in the star but they may not have the same financial power as the Red Devils to sign the player.
Despite playing second fiddle football, Morata ended last season as the second top scorer for Real Madrid in the La Liga. He scored 15 goals in 14 La Liga starts.
