Almost done: Versatile midfielder completes medical ahead of Man United transfer

Jose Mourinho is poised to give chances to the youngsters in the rank of Manchester United but not before they improve upon their play and earn their place in his team.

Man United had earlier confirmed the departure of Cameron Borthwick-Jackson to Leeds United on a loan move, it appears that Timothy Fosu-Mensah will also spend the rest of the coming season at Crystal Palace on loan, according to report.

The 19-year-old star joined Manchester United from Ajax in 2014 but broke in the scene for United under Dutch manager Luis Van Gaal where starred in eight League games in the Penultimate season. Jose Mourinho also handed him the chance to shine last season as he had four League starts.

However, Jose Mourinho has bolstered his defence this summer with the signing of Victor Lindelof and that has seen Fosu-Mensah fallen down the selection pecking order of defenders.

However,  he will have the chance to prove his mettle to the Faithfuls of Old Trafford under Dutch manager Frank De boer. He is on the verge of signing a deal with Crystal Palace and he could even feature for the Selhurst Park outfit against Huddersfield on Saturday.

According to Skysports, he has completed medical with Crystal Palace and an announcement for the deal is imminent.

The 19-year-old is predominantly a defensive midfielder but he can also play centre-back.
