Scot McTominay will not be leaving Manchester United this month, that’s the revelation of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, per reports.
McTominay is heavily linked with a loan move to Celtic but it appears that he will be staying put at the fortress of Old Trafford until the end of the season at least.
The rising star was sparingly fielded by Jose Mourinho along Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba – he never failed to prove his mettle as he showed glimpses of quality.
Fellaini sustained an injury and he is expected to be on the sideline for at least one month. This means if McTominay is allowed to leave, the Red Devils will be short of options in midfield.
Solskjaer revealed there will be no movement in or out of the club, and he further said talks are underway for McTominay to sign a new deal.
“Scott is working hard,” he said. “He is a young boy I believe in. We are working on his contract.
“You know with injuries, with Fellaini as well and the squad we have, I am not too sure we are going to see any movement at all.”
The rising star has featured in 33 games for United and he is keenly admired by Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers who wants to sign him.
