Almost done: Man United prime target Skriniar on the brink of signing deal

Manchester United are behind the eight ball trying to prise Milan Skriniar out of Inter Milan. But the Red Devils won’t be able to handle the idea of Milan offering the powerful midfielder a new contract, that could cause them to stumble many steps back and finally take a seat.

The Italian outfit are reportedly raring to offer Skriniar a new deal that will tie him down at the San Siro amid interests from a host of European clubs for his services.

Boss Luciano Spalletti had earlier suggested the midfield general was not for sale and even if he was no club, not even the world richest club–Manchester United–could afford him.

Reports milling out of Calciomercato is claiming that that a deal is already in the offing for the star and it is no longer far from completion.

Talks is still ongoing. And if a Skriniar agrees to a new deal, it could trousers extra cash in the coming years. Currently tied until 2022, Skriniar annual income which is just around 2.65 million pounds could go a few notches higher up to 3 million pounds, if he inks his signature on the deal.

United will be forced to look elsewhere then. Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly is already on their radar and is a cheaper alternative to the Milan man. But they’ll have to wait until this summer to bring home the Senegalese.
