Almost done: Chelsea to agree deal for €150m-rated duo, silky forward confirms

Real Madrid have encountered a major setback in their mission to sign Eden Hazard before the end of the month as the Belgian attacker wants to remain at Stamford Bridge.

It was earlier reported via the Mirror that Hazard will likely join the Galacticos in January as long as Zidane still remains as the coach, but that seems to be just speculation as the 27-year-old shows his readiness to sign a contract extension with the Blues.

The Belgian admits he’s aware of Madrid’s interest but would love to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge. Despite having two-and-a-half-years left on his contract with the Blues, Chelsea are desperately trying to keep him with the club to avoid losing him on a cheap transfer.

He told Mirror football on Thursday night during the annual London NBA game at the 02 Arena that he will sign a new contract. He also spoke about his compatriot Thibaut Courtois who is also linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu – Hazard revealed that he will only sign Chelsea deal if Courtois does first.

According to Hazard, Courtois is also on the verge of renewing his contract with the Premier League Champions. It is believed that the goalkeeper will be paid £200,000 as his weekly wages once he signs the contract offer from the Blues.

“I think Thibaut first. Then I will sign,” he told reporters while enjoying the NBA game on Thursday Night.

Conte will be very happy to receive this news as the Italian coach wouldn’t love to see two of his regular starters leave the club in January. Courtois has been Chelsea’s undisputed first-choice goalkeeper since his return from a loan move to Atletico Madrid in 2015.

Hazard has been one of Chelsea’s finest players since he joined as well. He has helped the Blues to two Premier League trophies since his arrival from Ligue 1 side Lille, in 2012. He has scored nine goals and seven assists so far this season despite being injured at the early stage of the season.

Chelsea will undoubtedly hand the Belgian duo contract and keep them at the club for the foreseeable future.

Their combine worth is 150,00 Mill. € according to transfermarkt.
