Almost done: Arsenal one step closer to sealing £35m deal for rock solid CB

Premier League outfit Arsenal are drawing closer to securing another big-name deal shortly after sealing and acquiring the services of veteran Swiss defender Stephan Lichtsteiner.

Arsenal seem to be working in quick paces as they have been linked to a number of exciting talents across Europe and luckily have been impressive in their negotiations. And one player who they have in their sights this summer is Frieburg star Caglar Soyuncu.

The 22-year-old is currently on the Gunners radar and according to reports, talks have advanced and he likely to join the club very soon.

According to the Daily Mail, the London outfit are inches closer to finally sealing the deal for the Turkey international this summer.

After faulting seriously in their defensive lines last season, new manager Unai Emery has managed to spark celebrations in the heart of the club’s fans and hierarchy following the acquisition of Lichtsteiner, leading fans to believe strongly he could be their Messiah.

The former Sevilla boss hasn’t stopped there and is prepared to bring in Soyuncu who was impressive for Frieburg last term.

The only thing left is “for a fee to be agreed” according to Soyuncu’s agent, Mustafa Dogru.

Currently, the Frieburg sensation is worth £35 million and has also won admirers in the Bundesliga following an excellent season.
