Almost done: “Another proud moment” Midfielder confirm imminent Chelsea transfer

Cesc Fabregas may have tacitly confirm his imminent transfer to French club, Monaco, per reports.

Fabregas has been subjected to playing a bit-part role at Chelsea since the appointment of Maurizio Sarri, with the Spaniard revealing earlier in the season that he would consider leaving the club.

Sarri signed Jorginho from Napoli and he has preferred the Italy international despite some questionable performances. Sarri sees Fabregas only as a alternative to Jorginho and this is even against the better judgement of some fans and pundits.

Fabregas has been linked with a move to several clubs in Europe including AC Milan but it appears that Monaco are winning the race for his signature.

The 31-year-old had only 20 minutes of cameos in Chelsea’s barren draw with Southampton last night. The game was his 500th in the England but he made no impact amid speculations surrounding his future.

He took to Social media to drop a major hint that he could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge in this transfer window.

“500 games in English football,” he wrote in a post on Instagram.

“The best and most competitive football in the world, what a ride it has been!

“A proper dream come true to reach these numbers.

“Another proud moment in my career.“I will see you all at the Bridge on Saturday. @arsenal @chelseafc #cesc500.”

The Blues host Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup this weekend, a game that could be his last in the colours of Chelsea.
