Manchester United stole a march on Chelsea over the signing of Dutch youngster Tahith Chong, this is according to reports.
Chong traveled with the rest of Man United squad on their pre-season tour in the USA but under Mourinho, he did not feature for the Red Devils.
He was handed his debut for the club in the FA Cup against Reading last week, where he gave a good account of himself.
He has been tipped to have a great future in Europe but he could have been donning the Jersey of Chelsea as we understand.
Former Man United Youth coach Derek Langley, has laid bare how he beat Chelsea to the signing of the now 19-year-old old winger.
“Tahith was spotted when he was a 14/15-year-old playing in a tournament at Carrington. What used to be the Nike Premier Cup,” he told the Manchester Evening News.
“He had already been tipped by our scouts in Holland and basically I followed him at that tournament and then I followed him all over Europe.
