Arsenal star winger Alex Iwobi has revealed that the Gunners players want Aaron Ramsey to be handed a new contract at the club, per reports.
Arsenal withdrew their offer on the table for Ramsey and the Welsh midfielder look set to leave the club in January or the summer as a free agent.
Currently the longest serving player at Arsenal, Ramsey joined Arsenal from Cardiff City in the summer of 2010 and he was one of the best players at the club during the reign of Arsene Wenger.
He is in the final year of his currently contract with the Gunners and after rebuffing offers from the club, they decided to withdraw their offer for him, which means he will be sold in the winter or allowed to leave as a free agent next summer.
The Mirror claims Liverpool and Manchester United are interest in signing him and they are likely going to make a move for him in January.
But now, Ramsey has revealed the mood of the Arsenal dressing room, stating that he wants the player to stay put.
“He’s a great player. When I was breaking into the first team, I always used to watch and learn things for him. I am still doing that today, ” he told BT Sport.
“It would be a great miss if he goes but hopefully he can stay. “We all want him to stay. Hopefully it can get sorted.”
Ramsey was left out of the Arsenal squad that thumped Qarabag in the Europa Cup. He was given time out by Emery to be with his wife who is pregnant with twins.
