Chelsea fans have been displeased with the lack of transfer activities at their club but there were claims on Wednesday that the West London club had reached an agreement with Juventus over a deal for Gonzalo Higuian. Alas, the agent of the Argentina goal poacher has quelled reports of a possible move.
Following an impressive spell with Real Madrid in the La Liga, Higuain moved to the Seria A but it appears that he wants a taste of Premier league football before he enters the twilight of his career. He earlier revealed on TNT Sports that he would love to play in the EPL.
“Would I like to play in the Premier League one day? Of course, yes, it is the best league in the world and it fascinates me a lot,” he said.
While that fueled speculations over his future, his brother who doubles as his agent Nicolas Higuain, has rubbished claims that a deal is in place for the player to join Chelsea.
Speaking to Sky Italy, Nicolas said: “We are not in talks with Chelsea. He [Higuain] wants to respect his contract with Juventus.
“It would be great to see Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo playing together again.”
The are in the deep waters over their managerial position. Sarri has been heavily linked with a move to the side but Conte has firmly remained on the reins of the club, leaving players confused over what the brass of the club is really up to.
Unlike Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool, Chelsea are yet to sign any player but that would be resolved as soon as they solve the managerial issue.
