Chelsea are weighing on a deal for West Ham United striker Marko Arnautovic, this is the claim of his brother and agent Danijel, per reports.
Until recently that Alvaro Morata started to score for the Blues, the strikers of the club have been in shambolic form, and Sarri is looking to reinforce this position.
Eden Hazard has rescued Chelsea from defeats and draws on several occasions this term but Sarri knows he needs a more potent point man to be able to compete with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Arnautovic has scored five goals in 10 games for the Hammers this term, a descent return by the standard of midfielders he’s surrounded with.
While it is widely claimed the Blues are on the lookout for a goal poacher, Danijel spoke to Gianluca di Marzio (h/t Express) and said:
“It’s not that he really wants to leave, but we believe this is the moment in his career when he has to take a step forward and try to win a few trophies, maybe even the Champions League.
“There are a lot of Premier League clubs tracking him. Chelsea and Everton, for example, but not only them.”
He agent further added:
“Someone like him should not be fighting against relegation but playing for the best seats and for the international places.”
There is no telling who Sarri will sign in the January transfer window but he is expected to bolster his squad for the second half of the season.
