Arsenal and Tottenham have held talks with the representative of Florian Grillitsch over a potential transfer in the January transfer window, according to reports.
Clubs in the Premier League are already gearing up for the January transfer window and for the big clubs, they are looking for quality reinforcements that may help them seal a top four place on the table.
Grillitsch joined Hoffenheim in the January of 2017 and since then, he has been a key player for enterprising young coach Julian Nagelsmann. In their Champions League game against Manchester City, the 23-year-old Austrian star was one of the standout performers for his side and he has attracted interest from several clubs.
German publication Bild claim the agent of the player flew to London last week, where he held talks with officials from Arsenal and Tottenham.
Tottenham did not bolster their ranks during the summer window. With the uncertainty surrounding the future of Mousa Dembele and the long term injury to Victor Wanyama, Mauricio Pochettino is forced to look for alternatives in the market.
Meanwhile, Arsenal signed on two midfielders in the summer but Aaron Ramsey will leave the London club in January or the next summer. Even if Grillitsch is signed, he would certainly be a replacement for Rambo. However, the Gunners are in need of a centre-back more than a midfielder.
