Barcelona have whirled past Liverpool in a bid to sign French midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
Rabiot has informed Paris Saint-Germain he wants to leave the outfit after a kerfuffle with the club’s management.
Barcelona are understood to have reached an agreement with the France international, however PSG sporting director Antero Henrique has fessed up that he is disappointed with the Catalan outfit over Rabiot’s transfer.
It comes as a shell-shock that PSG is accusing Barcelona of playing partial in the transfer, reports the Independent.
Though, the deal looks likely to come through for the La Liga holders, Henrique appears knocked back by the fact the Barcelona did not follow proper transfer rules and used a backdoor approach to sign Rabiot.
Rabiot departure is “firm and definitive”, insisted the player’s adamant mother and agent Veronique.
It is said that giant strides have been taken to force Rabiot’s move outside the club after his fallout with the Parisians this campaign.
Henrique did not brush off or parry talks that reveal Rabiot had informed the club of his decision to leave. However, he bemoaned the pre-contract agreement signed between the player and Barcelona and frowned at the knock down fee the Catalans had offered for Rabiot, calling it “disrespectful.”
