Perennial Arsenal target and Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema wants to complete a move to West London Club Chelsea, according to emerging reports.
Benzema has faced much criticism for his failure to consistency find the back of the net. The 30-year-old French forward has managed to scored only five La Liga goals this term and speculations are rife that he wants a Premier League experience before he finally hang his boots.
Antonio Conte has refused to take responsibility for Chelsea’s failure to compete for the Premier League title but he has blamed it on the brass of club for failing to sign top-notch players. The Blues have been tipped to make some marquee signings when the transfer window comes alive in the summer.
The Express have reported that Chelsea have made offers for the striker already, with the player open to the idea of completing a switch to Stamford Bridge. Abramovich fancies the idea of having a Benzema in his front-line and he has sanctioned a move for the star, as further claimed by the report.
We reported on Monday that Alvaro Morata wants to return to the Santiago Bernabeu, and there was another claim on Tuesday morning that Madrid are offering Gareth Bale plus cash in order to sign Hazard and Morata. Which ever way, we are likely to see movements between Stamford Bridge and Santiago Bernabeu in the summer.
Benzema is not the type of player that can thick the boxes of Chelsea’s front-line and i’m certain the fans of the Club will not be excited should he join them.
He is currently valued at £45.00m according to transfermarkt.
