Aaron Ramsey will not be leaving Arsenal for nothing in January. Ramsey, who has racked up over 300 appearances for the Gunners since joining from boyhood club Cardiff City in 2008, saw talks over his stay at Emirates reportedly collapse.
According to Mirror Sport, Arsenal closed the door on further negotiations over the Welshman contract.
Ramsey will be allowed to talk to foreign clubs in January. However, it is understood Arsenal are adamant to let him exit the club in January for a free.
Nonetheless, the 27-year-old will hold down his berth in the squad until next summer.
Rumours milling about suggest that the Wales international will stay until a bid is lodged for his services in the summer.
Ramsey understands that he stands to earn more from a profitable transfer next summer than he would if he left in January.
Ramsey’s contract will run until next summer. Chelsea and AC Milan are in the frame for the Wales international.
But Milan are reportedly in front for the star. Ivan Gazidis, Gunners top executive, who is angling to join Milan could influence the player move to join the Rossoneri.
United are also in the race for Ramsey’s signature and Juventus are said to queued up for his services too.
