£90million-rated star agree personal terms to complete Liverpool transfer

With the amount of money that goes down for the signing of players, you cannot rule out the possibility of more surprises before the window is slammed shut.

If the reports making the rounds is anything to go by, Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho is on the cusp of joining Catalan Club Barcelona after agreeing terms with the Camp Nou outfits, according to the Mirror.

Coutinho has been on the transfer of the Blaugrana but the Reds are unwilling to sell the spine of their team. Coutinho’s compatriot Neymar Junior is said to have recommended the player for Barcelona and they are keen on signing him as a replacement for the aging Iniesta.

Barcelona stepped up their chase for Coutinho as it is given in the report that their representatives have already met with Coutinho and agreed terms with the player for a move save for a transfer fee. Spanish media outlet Sport went further to claim that Coutinho wants a move.

We understand that Barcelona had their first €80 million (£72m) bid thrown out by Liverpool but they are willing to up their bid for him. Neymar has been heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint Germain but Barcelona believe a deal for Coutinho would be enough motivation for him to stay back.

Coutinho joined Liverpool in the January of 2013 from Inter Milan for a paltry £8.5million fee. However, he signed a contract extension with the Reds earlier this year and it is believed that  £90million will be enough persuade him to move.
