While Manchester United have bolstered the rank of the first team squad, they are also ensuring that the youth set up is not neglected.
Man United are on the verge of sealing deal for Oliveirense goal poacher Bruno Amorim, as confirmed by the club’s Sporting director Antonio Jose Leite.
Amorim has been on trial with Man United and the Portuguese star seem to have impressed the technical crew of the Red Devils academy. United have a rich ideology of ensuring the youngsters in their academy progress to the senior team and the youngster will be looking to take his chances.
Meanwhile the academy of United have already seen new additions in the form of Largie Ramazani and Aliou Badara Traore to their ranks, but Amorim will just be joining them to develop his football.
“He had been promoted to the main squad but [United’s] scout was alert and decided to take him there,” director Antonio Jose Leite told Portuguese outlet Noticias ao Minuto.
“At this time the business is 90 per cent done and he may have an excellent contract ahead.
“The contract will shortly be announced, but he is a future bet at United.
The youngster will join Man United U-23 side managed by club legend Nicky Butt and he will be hoping to be a regular figure at the side.
The 19-year-old star managed seven cameos Oliveirense in the second tier of Portuguese football and he is in the final year of his contract with the club.
It appears that United have gotten him to lace his boots for them on a cut price.
