Nicolas Tagliafico has turned in amazing performances for the Dutch club with Ajax enjoying a string start to the 2018/19 Eredivise season.
The defender was part of Argentina’s World Cup squad in Russia, and reports have emerged that he is one of Unai Emery’s top targets when the January window opens.
Nicolas Tegliafico was on Newcastle United’s radar last summer, but the Magpies were unable to reach an agreement with all involved parties and the deal fell off in the final days of the transfer market.
Now, the Gunners are ready to tempt Ajax and Tegliafico with many things the Magpies are unable to offer. With interest growing in the weeks leading up to the opening of the January transfer window, Ajax may well hold the Emirates outfit to a ransom and demand that they pay higher than their £8m figure.
Interestingly, the Gunners may have no chance than to pay the asking sum by the Eredivise club.
Arsenal are on top form at the moment as they have only lost twice and drawn once in all the matches played this season. The double loss came in the beginning of the season. Arsenal have gone on to win every game since then barring previous match – a 2-2- draw against Crystal Palace.
