There is nothing as stressful and tiring as waiting to see your Club’s transfer target sign but in the end, the wait will be worth it if such marquee signing is sealed.
One player has mainly headlined the transfer news of Manchester United and it is Spanish striker Alvaro Morata, who has now informed his friends of his desire to move to Old Trafford, reports the Express.
Despite have a prolific record from the bench last season, Morata played second fiddle in the attack of Los Blancos to Karim Benzema. With Zidane as the coach of Madrid Morata may is uncertain of playing regularly for Madrid and wants out of the Santiago Bernabeu.
Morata, who recently tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Alice Campello had to cut short his honeymoon for a talk with hierarchy of Madrid to facilitate the move. Chelsea were also linked with the striker.
Manchester United had offered £60m for the player but Madrid rebuffed the offer as it fell £10million short of their valuation of him. It is believed that that Los Blancos will now lowing their asking price in order to make the player reunited with Jose Mourinho.
Manchester United are currently without an established out-and-out striker and Mourinho had called Morata to assure him of leading his front-line. Playing regularly for Man United may help him seal a place in the first team of Spain as they prepare for the World Cup.
Morata returned to Real Madrid last summer after a two-year spell with the Old Lady, where he won the Seria A and Italian Cup.
Mourinho has been handed a hefty transfer war-chest and he’s propensity to splash the cash has never failed to materialise in the transfer window.
